BONSTECH ARMY CADET Bontrase Senior High Technical School The BONSTECH Army Cadet is a disciplined and purposeful student organisation dedicated to developing leadership, patriotism, self-discipline, teamwork, courage, and a strong sense of responsibility among students of Bontrase Senior High Technical School. Through drills, physical training, leadership activities, civic education, ceremonial duties, and community service, the Cadet Corps provides students with practical opportunities to build confidence, resilience, and respect for authority and others. It seeks to nurture responsible young people who are prepared to serve their school, community, and nation with integrity and dedication. The BONSTECH Army Cadet is committed to the values of discipline, service, leadership, loyalty, teamwork, and patriotism, inspiring students to become responsible citizens and future leaders of Ghana.
BOYS SCOUT Bontrase Senior High Technical School The Boys Scout of Bontrase Senior High Technical School is a youth development organisation committed to nurturing discipline, leadership, self-reliance, teamwork, and responsible citizenship among boys. The Scout movement provides members with opportunities to develop practical life skills, build character, and cultivate a spirit of service. Through outdoor activities, camping, community service, leadership training, first aid, environmental activities, and teamwork, the Boys Scout encourages students to become resourceful, confident, responsible, and resilient young men. Members are guided to respect others, care for their environment, serve their community, and demonstrate integrity in their daily lives. The BONSTECH Boys Scout seeks to prepare young men with the skills, values, and confidence needed to become responsible citizens, effective leaders, and positive contributors to the development of their school, community, and nation.
CULTURAL CLUB Bontrase Senior High Technical School The BONSTECH Cultural Club is a vibrant platform where students discover, celebrate, and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ghana. The Club brings culture to life through traditional music, dance, drama, storytelling, poetry, indigenous languages, festivals, traditional costumes, food, arts, crafts, and folklore. The Club encourages students to explore their roots while appreciating the cultures and traditions of others. Through performances, cultural exhibitions, research, competitions, and community engagement, members develop creativity, confidence, teamwork, leadership, and pride in their heritage. The BONSTECH Cultural Club is committed to keeping Ghanaian culture alive in the next generation— celebrating our past, expressing our present, and inspiring the future.
DEBATERS CLUB Bontrase Senior High Technical School The Debaters Club of Bontrase Senior High Technical School is a platform dedicated to developing students’ confidence, communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to articulate ideas effectively. The Club provides members with opportunities to engage in structured debates, discussions, public speaking, research, and intellectual activities. Through regular debates and constructive dialogue, students learn to analyse issues from different perspectives, build logical arguments, listen respectfully to opposing views, and express themselves with clarity and confidence. The Club also promotes teamwork, leadership, research skills, and responsible citizenship. GIRLS GUILD Bontrase Senior High Technical School The Girls Guild of Bontrase Senior High Technical School is a student-focused platform dedicated to empowering girls to develop confidence, leadership skills, self-discipline, and a strong sense of purpose. The Guild provides a supportive environment where girls can learn, share experiences, build positive relationships, and develop their talents. Through mentorship, educational activities, leadership development, personal development programmes, and community engagement, the Girls Guild seeks to promote the academic, social, emotional, and moral growth of its members. The Club provides opportunities for members to explore business ideas, identify opportunities, develop products and services, and understand the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Through practical projects, business challenges, exhibitions, mentorship, financial literacy activities, and enterprise development initiatives, students are encouraged to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, leadership, teamwork, and responsible financial habits. The BONSTECH Junior Entrepreneurs Club seeks to inspire students to become innovative and resourceful young entrepreneurs who can transform ideas into meaningful ventures, create opportunities for themselves and others, and contribute to Ghana’s economic and social development.

The Club provides students with opportunities to explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom through practical activities, problem-solving, experiments, quizzes, projects, and collaborative learning. Meet Our Head Prefect: A Future Voice in Journalism Akosua Agbavor is not just a student; she is a young leader with a voice, a vision, and a dream. Currently in SHS 2 General Arts at Bontrase Senior High Technical School (BONSTECH) Akosua has distinguished herself through hard work, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility. As the Head Prefect of BONSTECH and a proud member of House Two, she plays an important role in providing student leadership and serving as a bridge between the student body and school management. Her strongest academic interest is English Language, a subject that perfectly complements her ambition to become a journalist. She dreams of building a career where words become a powerful tool for telling stories, informing the public, giving voice to others, and making a positive impact on society. Her leadership role has already given her opportunities to develop some of the qualities essential to successful journalism, communication, confidence, critical thinking, responsibility, and the courage to speak with purpose.
